Hello
I am a mother to four wonderful children, two boys and two girls. I am married to my partner in crime Clifford. Together we are a blended family of nine! My favorite color is turquoise, my favorite movie is Brown Sugar, and I love Olive Garden. When I am not being a business owner, wife, and mother, I spend my free time crafting, reading books, and searching for my next big idea.
The Cultured Story
The basic idea behind Cultured is to produce, create, and distribute positive images of black culture. The original concept of Cultured started numerous years ago, and under just as many monikers. The inceptive product was custom cakes, which eventually turned into party planning, transitioned into interior design, and somehow evolved into face masks and t-shirts.
It is the belief of Cultured Kalamazoo that having an appreciation for your own culture and the culture of others, brings a greater appreciation of ones self. Society has been counter productive, as it has become the norm for negative images full of stereotypes to be the standard representation of some people of the world.

To aid in the reversal of this horrendous act, Cultured Kalamazoo has made it a priority to provide beautiful images of people in typical situations, in normal places, doing everyday things.

The vision for Cultured has come to fruition, and all the years and varied concepts have only taught me one thing - Creativity doesn't have to be limited to one outlet. By definition, culture is the manifestation of arts, and to honor that I have created Cultured, a true journey into my soul.
